Clovis, CA
Gorgeous views

Many haven’t heard of Clovis, CA

It is Fresno’s lesser known sister with a family friendly vibe and out of this world mountain views.

My love for Clovis started when I began my search for a place in California that had affordable housing (not an easy task), great schools, nice weather and a kid friendly culture.

Clovis met my seemingly impossible criteria and more.

Here are the top 5 reasons to move to Clovis, CA.

Clovis, CA things to do
There are so many things to do in Clovis

1. Small town features with big town benefits.

Clovis is a smallish town but has the benefits and opportunities of a larger city. Old town Clovis is dripping with charm and the local events are tight knit and welcoming. There are various small local businesses as well as things you would expect in a larger town, such as big name retailers and restaurants.

2. Award winning school district.

Prior to moving to Clovis, I frequently heard rumblings about Clovis Unified School District.

I had extremely high expectations for the CUSD schools. With 3 kids I can say that CUSD is one of the best districts in California and probably the entire country. With a fantastic graduation rate, stellar academics, top athletic programs and extracurricular programs, there is truly something for everyone. I am so happy to send my kids to school here and know that I am giving them a wonderful start.

3. Affordable housing

As a real estate agent, I am in awe of the cost of housing in Clovis. I can’t think of another city in California with award winning schools with 3-4 bedroom homes at a median price in the high $400,000s. There are older more established neighborhoods, condos and apartments as well as new construction.

4. Gorgeous mountain views and beautiful nature.

Clovis has a variety of groundwater recharge stations that bring geese and other wildlife to the area. There are fantastic trails, parks and the mountains are under one hour away. Spend the morning at Millerton Lake and the evening hiking in the foothills. There is so much to do.

5. One of the things I value about Clovis (as a L.A. native) is that there is no traffic. Enough said!

I could go on and on but truly Clovis, CA is one of the best locations to live and raise a family. I love it here and hope you will too!
